Training and Riding Instruction:
Felicia has over twenty years of experience in the equestrian industry and she is well equipped to help grow your horseback riding knowledge. While at Glastonbury High School, Felicia was a member of 4-H, Pony Club and the FFA.After high school she decided to go to a small liberal arts college, Houghton College.
At college, Felicia had the opportunity to ride many types of horses and train with multiple instructors. While there Felicia taught lessons and trained horses for a few different people to pay for her horse, Julie. She received her CHA certification and minored in Equestrian Studies. She holds a BA in communications. Felicia teaches both mounted and unmounted horse riding lessons.
She owns and trains Trakehners, a breed well known for their athleticism. Working with Trakehners has reinforced her belief that in order to be a true equestrian, a person needs to know how to listen and communicate with horses while handling and riding them.
Felicia believes in happy horses who want to work with humans. Her passion is sharing the joy of horses with others. Felicia’s main discipline is classical dressage and those methods are what she uses with all horses.
Whether you are starting a young horse or need help retraining an older one, Felicia is here to help you make the most of your relationship with your horse.
